relevé (REH-leh-vay) is a ballet term that means "to rise up from any position." This blog is where I will post an ongoing record of my Big Idea: a better public school system. There are so many components that go into reinventing public education, but if no one starts anywhere, nothing will change.
The biggest part of this idea is that I believe departmentalized learning is obsolete. Therefore, I will also post interdisciplinary lesson ideas here!

HUFFPOST: How to Save Our Schools: The Arts and Music are No Fairytale
I'm so befuddled that California is taking out elementary art and music programs on such a massive scale. Surely a struggling budget can find other cuts to prioritize...foreign language classes perhaps! All I remember from elementary school French was eating a buttered baguette with a Dove chocolate bar on top.
